Pre-Columbian ceramic human figure. Great piece with wonderful aged patina. The figures' right wrist has a small and stable fracture that appears repaired. Has a nice size and dispalys beautifully. This figure looks old, but are not certain of the date, so will not venture to say.
Was purchased at the same time as the other Precolumbian items we are selling--late 1970s from an upscale Costa Rican antique store. Owners just forget the particulars on this one. Never the less, we are certain this is an old genuine piece that could easily fall into the 300-1000 A.D. range. Open to hearing from an experienced Precolumbian collector regarding it's identification.
